What came first? The lemon and the mango? Or the mango and the lemon? The tea sommelier’s know that question sounds absurd, but we trust them when they tell us the answer has long been debated in tea circles.
Some say, this mythical flavor combination was developed on the island of Rapa Nui (otherwise known as Easter Island) many centuries ago when a British ship loaded with citrus, wrecked just off, what was then a mango-rich island. People, who favour this story call the combination, Mango-Lemon.
Next are those in the Lemon-Mango camp. These people believe that lemons and mangos were first paired up on the island of Fiji by a travelling French surfer named Pierre, sometime around 1950, while seeking refreshment after a heavy winter swell.
Neither story can be verified. Instead, they decided to go with “Lemon Mango” after a coin flip. Small batch crafted to perfection, this juicy herb and fruit blend offers all the bountiful flavor one would expect from a combo with such a varied background.
Tea Origin
The blend features an assortment of ingredients sourced from the regions of Anatolia (Turkey), Patagonia (Chile), and Fayoum (Egypt) crafted in the traditional process in small batches, and both air and sun dried.
Featured Flavors
All ingredients are organic and include apple, hibiscus, reship, lemon, calendular, and camomile petals.
The tea is naturally caffeine-free and loaded with antioxidants. The infusion produces a pinkish liquor.

Hot Brewing Method
- Place 1 teabag into a quart / 1 liter jug (that can withstand boiling water).
- Draw freshly filtered cold water and bring to a boil.
- Pour boiled water over the teabag.
- Steep for 5-10 minutes, longer steeping time results in stronger tea. Squeeze teabag as you remove it (captures all the flavor).
- Pour contents from 1 quart / 1 liter jug into a serving vessel and dilute with 3 parts cold water.
- Lightly sweeten to taste (simple syrup is recommended).
- Add ice as required.
- Garnish and serve.
Iced Brewing Method (pitcher)
To make 1 litre/quart
- Place 1 iced tea bag into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher.
- Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 1 cups/315ml over the herbal tea.
- Steep for 5-10 minutes, longer steeping time results in stronger tea.
- Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water.
- Pour the tea into your serving pitcher straining the tea or removing the tea bags.
- Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water.
- Garnish and sweeten to taste.
NOTE: A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced herb & fruit tea is to increase the strength of hot brew since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.
